How a match plays
Deadlock fuses MOBA structure with a third-person shooter — lanes, an economy, and a final objective.
Three lanes
Two teams of six push NPC “troopers” down three lanes toward the enemy “Patron.”
Souls
The economy — earned in combat and spent on items from the in-match shop.
Guardians, Walkers & Shrines
Lane and base defenses you must break through to reach the Patron.
High-mobility combat
Dashing, sliding, double jumps, and city-spanning zip lines.
Mid-boss & Rejuvenators
A neutral boss drops rejuvenators that can revive fallen teammates.
The Cursed Apple
Set in a stylised alternate 20th-century New York City.
The loop
You farm souls by killing troopers and enemies, spend them on items to power up your hero, push through guardians and walkers, and ultimately destroy the enemy Patron to win. High-mobility traversal — dashes, zip lines — keeps fights and rotations fast.
Maps, lane counts, and systems have changed across playtests (it began with four lanes, now three), so treat specifics as provisional and confirm against the official site.
