Rust is a hardcore multiplayer survival game from Facepunch Studios. You spawn on a server's island with nothing but a rock and a torch — everything else you have to earn.
The loop is simple to describe and brutal to live: gather wood, stone and metal, craft tools and weapons, and build a base strong enough to protect your loot. Run radiation-soaked monuments for high-tier components, research blueprints at the workbench, and climb from a stone hatchet to an assault rifle.
The catch is other players. Rust is full-loot PvP — die and you drop everything — and bases are cracked open with explosives. Every server resets on a monthly forced wipe, so the race from naked-on-the-beach to geared-and-dangerous restarts for everyone. This wiki is built for that race.

An underground military bunker system with elite crates and heavy NPC presence. The narrow corridors make for intense close-quarters combat with scientists.
A massive offshore oil platform with the best loot in the game. Requires a boat to access. Guarded by heavy scientists and features a hackable locked crate.
A research station in the arctic biome. Features heavy scientist presence, extreme cold, and some of the best loot on the map.
A decommissioned railway station with train cars and warehouses. Offers a blue card puzzle and moderate loot.
A large dome structure surrounded by industrial buildings. Climbing to the top of the dome yields military crates but requires parkour skills.
