You can unlock items by finding them and researching at a Research Table, or by spending scrap in the Tech Tree. The Tech Tree is more predictable but can be more expensive.
Focus on researching key items first. Prioritize weapons, medical items, and base defense. Skip niche items unless you specifically need them.
Each workbench tier lets you research higher-tier items. Plan your progression: WB1 first, then rush WB2 for guns, and WB3 for end-game raiding tools.
Early wipe, focus on WB1 items like Revolver, DB Shotgun, and basic armor. Mid-wipe, push for WB2 rifles. Late wipe, get C4 and rockets from WB3.
