About Rust weapon stats

Damage is per hit before falloff; DPS factors in fire rate. Range is the effective distance before damage drops off sharply. The workbench level is the tier of bench required to craft the weapon (a higher tier means a deeper tech-tree investment), and research cost is the scrap needed to learn it from a blueprint. These are the real Rust values, not estimates.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best weapon in Rust?
The Assault Rifle (AK) is the top-tier primary — high damage, good range and a large magazine — but it needs a Tier 3 workbench and is expensive to craft. Earlier game, the Bolt Action Rifle, Custom SMG and Semi-Automatic Rifle are strong, accessible picks.
Are these Rust weapon stats accurate?
Yes — damage, DPS, fire rate, range, magazine, headshot multiplier, research cost and workbench level all reflect the real in-game Rust weapon data.
