How to destroy the Bradley APC at Launch Site. Ammo costs, safe positions, loot drops, and strategies for solo and group play.
The Bradley APC is an armored patrol vehicle that drives around Launch Site. It has a cannon that fires explosive rounds and a machine gun turret. It will engage any player that gets close.
Bradley stats: - Health: 1000 HP - Cannon damage: ~80 damage per hit (explosive) - Machine gun: Moderate damage, rapid fire - Detection range: ~75 meters - Respawn time: 60 minutes after destruction
Destroying Bradley drops 2 Locked Crates (not hackable -- use a key) that contain high-tier loot comparable to Oil Rig crates: AKs, LR-300s, explosives, metal armor, and other end-game items. Each crate takes 15 minutes to unlock.
Method 1 -- HV Rockets (recommended): 7 High Velocity Rockets destroy Bradley. Total sulfur cost: approximately 5,600 sulfur. This is the most common and efficient method.
Method 2 -- C4: 2 Timed Explosive Charges (C4) destroy Bradley. Total sulfur cost: 4,400 sulfur. More expensive per sulfur than HV rockets overall when factoring in the tech trash and explosives.
Method 3 -- Regular Rockets: 3 regular rockets destroy Bradley. Total sulfur cost: 4,200 sulfur. Good if you have rockets already crafted.
Method 4 -- Explosive Ammo: Approximately 350 rounds of explosive 5.56 destroy Bradley. Total sulfur cost: approximately 8,750 sulfur. Not recommended due to high cost, but usable in emergencies.
Method 5 -- MLRS: Fire MLRS rockets from anywhere on the map. Requires finding MLRS rockets from Locked Crates. This is the safest method since you are not at Launch Site at all.
Bradley's cannon has splash damage, so hiding behind thin walls is not sufficient. Use these safe positions:
1. Rocket from the scaffolding: Climb the scaffolding along the outer wall of Launch Site. Fire HV rockets down at Bradley as it patrols below. It cannot hit you at this angle.
2. The rocket building: Position yourself on the elevated walkway near the rocket. Fire rockets as Bradley passes beneath. The building structure absorbs cannon shots.
3. Behind large rocks: Some rocks at Launch Site are large enough to completely block Bradley's line of fire. Peek, fire a rocket, duck back.
4. Above on buildings: Any elevated position where Bradley cannot angle its cannon upward is safe. The roofs of the launch buildings work well.
General strategy: - Bring building materials to place twig walls as temporary cover - Fire a rocket, immediately duck behind cover to avoid the return cannon shot - Bradley rotates to face threats slowly -- strafe between cover to keep it turning - Listen for the cannon charging sound to know when to duck
After destroying Bradley, 2 locked crates drop near the wreckage. Each takes 15 minutes to unlock (same as oil rig crates). The explosion and fire from the kill attract every nearby player.
Defense strategy: 1. Place sleeping bags nearby before engaging Bradley 2. After the kill, immediately build a small enclosure around the crates with twig or wood walls 3. Station on the roof or scaffolding overlooking the crate area 4. Watch all approaches -- players come from the road, the tunnels underneath, and the surrounding buildings 5. Have a teammate on overwatch while you loot
Solo approach: Kill Bradley, immediately loot one crate's contents as it unlocks (15 minutes), and leave. Do not wait for the second crate unless the server is quiet. The risk of being contested increases every minute you stay.
Bradley respawns 60 minutes after destruction, so you can farm it once per hour if you control Launch Site.
