Tip · The AK-47 can one-shot headshot at any range, making it the most lethal rifle in the game for aim-heavy players.
The primary CT-side rifle. Cannot one-shot headshot helmeted opponents but has a higher fire rate and 30-round magazine. Reliable and versatile.
Tip · The M4A4 cannot one-shot headshot a helmeted opponent, so aim for a headshot followed by a quick body shot.
A silenced CT rifle alternative. Higher per-bullet damage and no tracers, but slower fire rate and only 25 rounds per magazine. Excellent for precise, controlled shooting.
Tip · The silencer removes tracers and reduces sound, making it harder for enemies to locate you.
A budget CT rifle with a burst-fire mode. Cheaper than the M4 variants but with lower damage and a wild spray pattern. Good for force-buy rounds.
Tip · The burst-fire mode can be surprisingly accurate at medium range -- try it when holding angles.
A budget T-side rifle. Cheaper than the AK-47 with decent performance. Useful for force-buy rounds when you can't afford the full AK-47 setup.
Tip · At $1800, the Galil is the cheapest rifle and good for second-round buys or force-buys.
A scoped CT rifle with excellent armor penetration. The scope reduces fire rate but significantly improves accuracy at long range. More expensive than the M4 variants.
Tip · The scope gives the AUG a significant accuracy advantage at long range over the M4 variants.
A scoped T-side rifle with 100% armor penetration. One-shot headshot capability and a scope for long range. Slightly more expensive than the AK-47.
Tip · 100% armor penetration means maximum damage through armor, making body shots very effective.
A cheap bolt-action sniper rifle, known as the 'Scout'. One-shot headshot, high mobility, and ability to shoot accurately while jumping. Excellent budget sniper.
Tip · The SSG 08 is the only weapon that maintains accuracy while jumping at the apex of your jump.
The most powerful weapon in CS2. One-shot kill to the body and head at any range. Extremely slow and expensive with only $100 kill reward. A game-changing weapon.
Tip · The AWP one-shots to the body at any range, making it the premier angle-holding weapon.
A CT-side auto-sniper. Semi-automatic with high damage per shot. Expensive and disliked in casual play but effective for holding long angles.
Tip · Two body shots kill any opponent, making it very forgiving compared to the AWP.
A T-side auto-sniper. Functionally identical to the SCAR-20 but with a longer reload time. Used to lock down long sightlines on attack.
Tip · Same damage model as the SCAR-20 -- two body shots to kill armored opponents.
